Starting yesterday, we have no audio on channel 9, KQED, San Francisco. Other channels seem to be working fine. We watch a lot of programs on KQED, so this is very frustrating. How does this kind of problem get fixed? I see others have had similar problems with one channel or another.
Now we've realized that on KQED channel 10 we're getting background sounds but no dialog--mouths moving and absolutely no words. What is going on?
Does anyone from Xfinity monitor these forums? We have all kinds of weird sound things going on now, mostly the two KQED channels, which have sound or partial sound or no sound on and off. This weekend two English language sports channels were in Spanish, which we're pretty sure shouldn't be happening on non-Spanish channels. What on earth is Xfinity doing, and how can we get this resolved? Their service is not cheap, and we're feeling pretty ripped off not being able to reliably watch our favorite programming.
I have had this problem and found that my remote had somehow switched to Spanish Language mode. See if you have Spanish or English picked as your language. Make sure it is English.
