ION TV Bleeping?

ION TV has been bleeping out regular words and parts of dialog.  This has been going on for 3 weeks. And before someone asks, it's happening on all channels and all tvs in the house. So, what's up with the broadcast bleeping thing?

ION is a broadcast network carried by a local TV station. It started as Pax TV and is family oriented. I don't watch the network, but they are probably being strict about what they air.

Thank you for your imput.  However, ION TV is hardly a family channel now.  And "bleeping" was a poor choice of words on my part.  I was comparing the issue with the old remedy for removing foul words from dialogue.  There are NO foul words involved - it's a matter of bits of dialogue going silent.  Not  a censoring situation.  Just a few seconds of the actor's mouth moving and the words not being able to be heard.  A very awkward way for me to describe the problem - but I want no more misunderstanding of the problem.  I've contacted Comcast and the overseas rep has no working knowledge of the words "bleep" "dialogue" and so on.

That sounds more like a signal problem. The cable box briefly mutes the audio. Do you maybe get a bit of pixelation or other video effect around the same time? It could even be an issue with the broadcast station itself.

No, no pixelation. The cable box is fairly new. We don't have the problem on any of the other channels.  It's beginning to look like the problem is with the broadcast channel itself.  Thank you for helping narrow the problem down.  Now, to figure out how to report and complain about the problem to the broadcast channel itself.

Great tip!  I'll have to give that some thought and look around the neighborhood. Thank you.

Do you know anybody who watches TV with an antenna? That is one way to check.
