Fox "News"

I've read that Fox "News" is quite expensive. I have never watched it, will never watch it, and would really prefer not to be paying for it. Is there any way I can delete Fox from my service and save some money?

Or is my only choice to cut the cord completely and close my account...

Select "Limited Basic" aka "Choice TV" and foxnews will not be available on your cable-TV free HD-DTAs or xfinity streaming app or cablecard devices.

Unfortunately for your goal, foxnews seems to be free for anyone via streaming so the best thing we can all do to make it cost monthly money again is to physically isolate for another month.

You can make whatever choice you need to as a consumer but it’s included in your service

I agree with this. I don't want any of my cable fees going to Fox & would like the option to delete them from my cable package.

Hi @! We appreciate you reaching out to us here for help. Although we can not simply remove this one channel from your cable package, we can explore other packages we may have available that does not have it included.

Please send us a private chat message with your full name and address to Xfinity Support if you need help. To do so click on the chat icon on the top right of the page. Thank you. :)

I no longer work for Comcast.

What do you mean you can't simply remove it? Of course you can. Don't you have some switch you can flick or some wire you can pull out? I'm sure you do.

And I don't think you understand. Who said we want you to remove just one channel? We want ALL the Fox Corporation channels to be a separate option, locals included. Whatever it takes. I'm giving $50+ a year to a company that I believe is deliberately undermining the country I'm a citizen of, and these forced donations are the only reason they're still on the air, because the vast majority of their advertisers bailed on them years ago.

It's unfortunate that you have chosen to side with them. Perhaps you don't realize that it's your country too.

I agree. I don't want Fox "news" and I don't want any of the money that I pay for my bill going to them. I would like some options. I hear that Fox News charges a hefty fee per customer. Why should I have to pay for something I find repugnant?

I have many channels that I don't like so I don't watch them. They are in my package so I pay for them anyway. Skip by the channels you don't like and move on or cut the cord completely and get an antenna. You will only get a small amount of basic channels. You will never see Fox News with an Antenna!

Yes, I understand that what you've described is the "choice" that the cable companies have decided to give us. Do you think that serves their customers, or their convenience and profits?

Wouldn't you rather chose the channels you actually want to watch (and support), and just pay for those? If we don't let the company know what our preferences are, why should they ever change?

I agree with removing FOX News from the basic package.  I do not want any of my money going to that organization, especially with Tucker Carlson now calling for his views to bully anyone wearing a mask outdoors.
