Fox Sports 2

As a NASCAR fan, I was afraid that I would not be able to see the same racing events that I used to see on Speed when they rebranded the channel this past weekend.  I was just proven correct.  I now won't be able to see the Whelan Modified race that is airing on FoxSports 2 from Bristol tonight as Comcast doesn't have Fox Sports 2 in the channel lineup.  I was able to watch it last year when it was on Speed.

I strongly encourage Comcast to rectify this situation and add Fox Sports 2 to the lineup.  If I can't watch the things I want to watch because the channel isn't available, then I'm going to look for a cable provider who can provide it.

Its all about the Benjamins baby. Comcast/NBC doesn't want to add another channel owned by one of their competitors.

I pay more for sports programming. I had to call and complain because SpeedTV didn't go HiDef until Months after it was available in HD.

Speed is replaced with FS1 while all the broadcasters are telling folks "you'll get to see all the great racing programming from Speed on FS1" while most all of the programming for NASCAR practice and Whelan series races go to FS2. I don't blame Comcast for that, but where is FS2?

I get FS1 on the crappy digital box in my bedroom and i'm fairly certain that is a standard cable channel now. So where is FS2 for the fact I pay extra for a package that includes sports?

I want FS2. Constructive notice comcast...fix it or i'll go elsewhere.

Paying over $230 a month $2760 a year, and can't even watch fox sports 2.

As soon as I find alternitive I will drop Comcast.

1. Do I really need home hard line phone service?

2. Cable TV, 80% of the channels we do not watch, But pay for?

3. High Priced Braodband, that is limited in speed with data caps?

How I can watch FOX Sports 2?

Between them not carrying FS2 (some good UFC prelim fights tonight) and not allowing HBO Go on the PS3 and Roku....as soon as we get out of this apartment, we are 100% DONE with Comcast!

Unfortunately for our apartment it is either Comcast or nothing...or I would have ditched them a long time ago.

Here in Denver, we HAD Fuel TV when it was still on (It was buried among the movie channels like TVOne is & in SD only but it was there).  But then Comcast (For some strange weird reason) decided to yank it in favor of......Drum roll please.....A BIG FAT NOTHING !!!

I'm not even sure if Fuel ever was in HD but now that it's Fox Sports 2 - AN SD ONLY FOX SPORTS 2 IS BETTER THAN NO FOX SPORTS 2 AT ALL (Get the message Comcast ??)

They also have a history of letting YEARS go by before TOUCHING the lineup (Let alone add channels to it).  The wait we had to endure to get ESPNU & ESPN Goal Line/ESPN Buzzer Beater are just two examples of this

I also fondly remember (Rather DUBIOUSLY I might add) how Altitude Sports was added.  They kept the channel OFF THE AIR (Even though channel 25 & 725 were set aside for it) until the start of a Denver Nuggets home game telecast (If memory serves, it was the SECOND game of the season with the firsat one being NOT available because Comcast hadn't added Altitude by then.  THIS TICKED OFF A LOT OF FANS because Carmelo Anthony was still a young NBA sensation back then).

When the game DID start & Altitude FINALLY got on the air on Comcast, they had the CEO on as a guest during the game & ONLY THEN it was announced that while we were left sitting in the dark wondering if we would have to endure missing YET ANOTHER Nuggets game because they were now on Altitude & not on FSN Rocky Mountain (Now ROOT Sports), THEY WERE NEGOTIATING A CARRIAGE DEAL RIGHT UP TILL NEARLY GAME TIME !!!

Those of you who live in the Denver area (Or lived here back then) might remember this better than I described.  If so, please chime in 😄

MORAL OF THE STORY - It wasn't the way to score points with us customers THEN & it's NOT the way to score points with us customers NOW Comcast.  A LOT of things have changed in the nearly 20 years since this, but Customer Relations IS NOT ON THAT LIST !!!

Now as for Al Jazeera America, that (Contrary to what is undoubtedly popular belief among Blaze TV fans) WAS NOT a new channel added by Comcast.  Al Jazeera bought AN EXISTING channel ALREADY IN THE LINEUP (Current TV) & turned that channel into Al Jazeera America.

COMCAST HAD NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH IT OR ANY SAY IN THE MATTER AS THEY ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONTRACT WITH THE NETWORK !!!

I know many of you Blaze TV freaks will NEVER believe a Liberal like me so I submit to you these sources of information (Take them however you please).....

Now back to sports 😄

Cheers 🙂

Why FS2 is not included in program ? Soccer fans are missing 50% of european inter-nations/clubs games. All other providers offer both, as it should be.

Comcast DOES offer Fox Sports 2, but not in all areas. My area does not have it, but a friend about 15 miles away does.
