Comcast Remote Won't Work with New TV, Help!

Is there a universal remote control that will work with the X1 box? I want to program my TV and comcast remote into a universal remote so that I don't have to use two different remotes to watch TV.

I bought a new TV.  The Silver with Red OK-Select Button comcast remote won't work with TV for any TV functions. I tried putting dozens of codes with the comcast remote for hours and none work.

Use a Harmony remote, those Comcast remotes are not even in circulation anymore

Thanks Andrew!

So, do I have to pay $69 to to $399 for a remote that will work with X1 cable box and my new TV. The "old" remote worked with at least 4 different TVs that I've used.

By the way, the link says the $69 one you recommend is out of stock. The next price up is $149.

Does comcast not offer a remote to use with their X1 box that has a wider range of TV compatibility than the "old" remote which worked with multiple TVs for many years?

I had no idea I would run into this problem when I bought the TV.

You can pay whatever you like, I was just giving an example, like you asked for. It was not a recommendation but a popular alternative option. The Comcast remotes are meant to turn the tv on and off and adjust volume. Are you saying those functions don’t work? Why are you using such an old remote with X1 equipment and not have the benefits of using the X1 platform with the proper X1 remote ?

No functions work at all period.

Does anybody know of an inexpensive universal remote that works with the X1 box? Less that $30 would be OK.
