Code XRE-03121 after upgrading package.

I'll try to make a long story short:  8 days ago I upgraded our X1 box and upgraded our package (from a package that no longer exists) to Signature Triple Play. I was told I'd get all non-movie channels that I was getting previously and would lose only HBO(and a couple others). A day later while trying to watch NFL RedZone I received the code "XRE-03121" with the note "if you've made changes to your account recently the updates may still be in process...". Thinking I had to re-purchase the sports package, I did so and received RedZone. But after researching this code I wonder if I had to do that. Should I have received it without buying the sports package?  (BTW, upgrading the X1 box was an absolute NIGHTMARE that required 3 trips to 2 different Comcast offices)
