Channels
why are there triples of same channels? Like History channel is channel 38, channel 823, and 1478? Is there a way to simplify guide with that so not same channels listed 3 times. Thank you

One is SD (38 in your example), one is HD (823), and the 1000+ is the 'national' common number, which is usually a duplicate of the HD if an HD version is available. The 1000 series numbers should be the same everywhere and is Comcast's attempt to simplify numbers since they grew through buying up many other cable companies and numbers are all over the place. For example, History here in the Chicago area, SD is either 44 or 53, HD is 175, and the national is 1478.
