I think it has something to do with both of these shows having an episode pre-empted last week for coverage of the election count, so they moved last week's episodes forward to this week - but the DVR either thinks it recorded the episodes last week (so it won't record them again - something I for one wish Comcast would fix by adding a "Record all episodes, even if I already have them" option) or it thinks it is a repeat and you have the recording set to "only new episodes."
