Avalanche Hockey

It really stinks that you’re blacking out Avalanche Hockey during these playoffs. Really shows how much you’re in it for the big bucks and not your customers. The playoffs are on NBC affiliates and not Altitude. We’re in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic and you’re cheating your customers that are starved for live sports. Real class Comcast.

Comcast or any other provider doesn't dictate game black outs, it’s all networks (always has been).

What @CCAndrew said - Comcast has zero say in the matter. If you live in what the NHL considers to be the "Colorado Avalanche region" and Altitude is showing an Avalanche game, Comcast has to black out all other broadcasts of that game in that region - otherwise, Altitude would sue Comcast for violating its exclusivity rights. Never mind that Comcast does not carry Altitude; Altitude still has exclusive broadcast rights in the area.

In fact, here is a story about how Comcast broke the rules by not blacking out a game in Colorado on NHL Center Ice and the NBC Sports App.
