Any update on the availability of Investigation Discovery to non-legacy customers?

Has there been any talks within Comcast/Xfinity about making Investigation Discovery (ID) available to new customers and customers who renewed under new contracts last year and lost the channel?

If not, does anybody know of any other option aside from switching to another cable TV provider? Or is that the only option?

I contacted the company behind the  ID channel and was told there was no contract issue to cause the disruption in service. Their reply indicated they don't know what happened.

We switched to Comcast last January.  All of a sudden (around May), our WE and ID channels disappeared with the annoying message stating we needed to upgrade our subscription in order to get the channel.  I've dealt with comcast customer service several times and was told they no longer have a contract (they are "negotiating").  That doesn't explain why my sister's Comcast still receives both those channels.  I was also told those with newer equipment lost the channels but those with older equipment would have it until they upgrade.  Absolutely crazy.  I was also told that my bill would have a notice that we were losing those channels but I went back and not a single mention.

I really like my service aside from that but at some point, it might just be a dealbreaker.

i was told late last fall by comcast that they were still negotiating contract for ID but it should be back in all packages soon.. ive since learned that all areas nearby me in other zipcodes seem to have it, but i am still without. so, if you can beliueve comcast, they should be bringing it back soon -- but you might have to keep contacting them every month to ask status! thats what i am  gonna do now! i even tried Roku and Amazon firestick streamig.. you can connect IDGO through those platforms, BUT, your cable supplier MUST carry the channel in order for the services to work, even on the streaming sticks. SOOO... keep chasing down comcast!! good luck, youre not alone in your frustration! 🙂

You would think that, in view of so many customers cutting the cord, Xfinity would be trying to keep us around.

I have an appointment to look into Satellite service.

Enough of this less service for more money attitude!

They don't have a contract with ID Investigation Discovery Channel. They did not want to pay the carriage fees I was told. Not sure if any of that will change in future or not however. Hopefully at least with streaming service or something.
