Closed Caption on Peacock

Any ideas why my closed caption doesn't work on Peacock? I don't have a problem with other apps. Youtube doesn't work either, but I'm ok with that.

Then I pressed the down arrow to get the info stuff. Then I pressed the left-arrow twice to highlight the bubble. Then I pressed select and then the up arrow to English and then select. The subtitles came on.

What 'down' or 'left' button? I can see the CC box but no matter what buttons I push I do not see movement towards that CC caption box. I am guessing you are referencing the silver arrows that are adjcacent to the enter on my X1 remote -

yes those arrows. when you press down the progress thermometer will show with the icon along bottom left edge for setting CC on/off.
