I am having this problem with my new Asus router. RT-AX82U all my other devices connected to the switch talk to the modem just fine. Xfinity customer service was no help.

I'm currently having this problem as well and I'm no longer able to just DM support to have the provisioning signal sent out. Please help.

This seems to be a bug with Asus routers. See some of the info in this thread:
Sorry, but this isn't helpful. They have to actually send the provisioning signal. This is a known issue for years now. It's also not exclusive to Asus routers. Thanks.
I had a similar issue. Got a new modem. Half the devices connected. I restarted the modem then the rest connected EXCEPT the Apple devices. I spent days trying to figure it out. The closest I got was getting them to connect to WiFi but they could not connect to the internet. I restarted the laptop. Shut it down. Restarted the modem. I did a power cycled (unplug for 30 secs) the modem. Manually entered TCP/IP and DNS information. No internet. I called Apple; after going through their troubleshooting, they said it was Comcast. I spent an hour with Comcast before I had to end the call to attend a meeting; after an hour of troubleshooting... still no solution. With both Apple and Comcast, I'd already done everything they asked me to do except the power cycling.
Since the computer is fairly new, I just simply did a factory reset. It connected without an issue. In the meantime, I'm purchasing an external hard drive to back up systems regularly and will save bookmarks and such with my online accounts, cloud storage. etc. I'd just rather factory reset than go through the motions (unless one of you tell me occasional factory resetting is harmful).
