Xfinity XB6 Gateway, 2 Playstation 4's

I have the Xfinity XB6 gateway to which I have connected via ethernet (cat7) a PS4 to port 1 and a PS4 to port 2.  But I see that port 2 is limited to 100mbps.  Is this the best way to connect or would it be better to connect the two PS4's to port 1 via an ethernet switch?  OR, should I simply connect the second PS4 via wifi?

If the person using Wi-Fi is close enough to the gateway it might work. It also depends on whether the game is HD or 4K. you need both good speeds for download and upload.

They are both supposed to be gigabit-capable ethernet ports. Have you tried swapping the cat7 cables with each other for a test ?

@EG I believe this is wrong.  My information is that Port 2 is "restricted" to 100mbps.  That is the reason for my question.  So, would wifi be better than Port 2 or would I be sacrificing stability in favor of speed.  My actual concern is Lag.

Navigate to this link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/broadband-gateways-userguides

Scroll down to XB6. It says that they are both GigE ports. You didn't say whether or not you tried that test that I mentioned..

@EG I have not tried that yet but I will.  Thanks!  I'm using a 65' run of cat 7 for one ps4 and a 15' run for the other (which is quite close to the gateway).  I am getting mixed messages via the internet on whether port 2 is 1000 or 100mbps.
