Xfinity xb10 when?

@user_hnhx75 We do not have an official rollout for the new XB10 Wireless Gateway. As with all of our new product rollouts, there will be limited availability at the start and only qualified customers in certain markets will have access to it at first. Then it will be rolled out to customers in certain plans and after our inventory has been stable and built up, the general availability will expand. We are currently testing the device through employees in qualified markets/networks. 

it said it was released in 2024 i don't understand why it isn't available for everyone now and it's impossible to contact the store 

My Xfinity market doesn’t have DOCSIS 4.0 or X-class internet available yet. I would venture to guess that those markets like Atlanta and Philadelphia will see availability first. Mine - I’ll check back late 2026. 😬

There is some serious misinformation sprinkled around this thread.  The XB8 modem/router is existing DOCSIS 3.1 capable modem that most areas have access to now.  Even if your not in a mid-splits neighborhood yet (with 100-300mbps uploads) you can still get the xb8.  However, it will not support FDX DOCSIS 4.0 traffic (or to translate the x class internet 300mbps - 2gbps symmetrical service).  There are two things that are holding up comcast scaling out DOCSIS 4.0 right now; first - the availability of amplifiers to deploy and second the availability of modems (namely the XB10).  The XB10 is ESD and FDX DOCSIS 4.0 capable modem and once it becomes available in large quantities will enable comcast to accelerate rolling out symmetrical speeds.

I recently signed up for the x2gig plan. Becasue the XB10 is not available, I was set up with an XD4 moden connected to the XB8 for the router. The problem is I can't get 2 gig on my network. This is because the XB8 only has one 2.5 gig port, and this is used up linking to the modem - leaving me without a 2.5gig port to connect my network. The only 2gig service I get is if I connect directly to the extra port in the modem, but then I'm not connected to my network.

The installer had plugged the extra port on the modem direct to my network, bypassing the router. This doesn't work because there is no way to assign IP's when bypassing the router.

I don't think that Xfinity is aware of this limitation and that they are not delivering on the x2gig plan.

So my question, given the XB10 not being available, am I missing something on being able to connect my network to my 2gig service?

Any help is appreciated.

I guess the XB10 is just like the Five-Year Price Lock!! You hear about it everywhere and they send you emails, and it is nonexistent!! What wonderful marketing Xfinity has, and it is no wonder why people are jumping ship. Lots of advertising for what is not available!!!
