Xfinity Wifi super slow on my new Samsung S23

Same issue as hundreds of other users posting here.  Can someone at Xfinity please provide an official solution for this?
I have spent an hour on the phone and on a chat going nowhere.

Same issue everyone else has.  Wifi works great on my laptop and TV but media-rich apps (like Xfinity stream, NBA app, etc.) all are super slow to load on my brand new phone.
when I turn off wifi, the apps work great.

Do I need to replace my modem?

Hi, @user_fh1000. Thank you for reaching out. I hope you are doing well. I see your network is working fine on other devices which is certainly a good sign. I understand, however, that is not the case for your Samsung S23. I did check on my end, and I didn't find that we have any known issues with the connection to this specific device. 

 

I still have the S21 Ultra which has been a workhorse for me. I personally haven't had issues connecting on our network. With that said, I have seen reports from some on occasion. I did see that some found success with turning off the randomized MAC address option on their Galaxy/Android devices. Have you given this a try? If you aren't sure how, you can double-check with Samsung to ensure it's an option on your end. Have you done any troubleshooting with the device so far?

I have a Samsung Galaxy s 23+ and I'm having the same issue since I changed my phone. My wife is having the same issue and she also have the same device.

1. get a new router/modem from Xfinity - one with wifi6 - that helped me out a lot

2. see if you have any apps with VPN running on your phone - those might be interfering.

still don't understand why so many users have to bring this to Xfinity's attention - this should be a non-issue. Xfinity is providing the home internet/wifi and mobile service - they should fix this and provide customer service personnel with tools to address this issue

I have the same problem, the wi-fi works great on all but the new S23 so I think it is a Samsung problem. It works fine on 5G. I am taking the phone back.
