xfinity app

Desktop PC, windows 11, Firefox

I'm unable to download the xfinity app. The download link at https://www.xfinity.com/apps does nothing.

The brain dead chatbot just opens that page, no matter what I type if it contains "xfinity app"

I need to do port forwarding and the default gateway ip address  just directs to a message:

"Managing your home network settings is now easier than ever. To manage your gateway settings and other features, please download the Xfinity app."

Desktop PC, windows 11, Firefox ... I'm unable to download the xfinity app.

The Xfinity app is intended for phones and tablets. To download it to and run it on Windows 11 you'd need to first install software that emulates a mobile device.

So... How am I supposed to forward a port when putting in the gateway ip address just sends me to the message saying I have to use the app?

Greetings @user_9mppi8,

As @BruceW mentioned, the Xfinity app is intended for phones and tablets. If you don't have a device that is capable of accessing the Xfinity app you would not be able to port forward. With that being said, via the xfinity app you can allow gateway admin tool access. If you can even temproraily get access to the app, following the instructions in the Allow Xfinity WiFi Gateway Admin Tool online access using the Xfinity app article to allow gateway admin access could certainly be the work aroud you are looking for.
