xFi Pods vs Real Plume Pods

Hello,
I am a relatively happy xfinity xfi subscriber using “their branded
Xfi pods (gen 2) [have qty of 3 in my home].
Couple of questions for you, because as I’m sure you are aware, support provided by xfinity is negligible (regarding xfi pods especially), lazy, and circular to no ending, and nobody taking any responsibility or concern whether my question is even addressed, much less answered.
All I ask of your support is a slight bit of curiosity as to why purchasers of these xfi pods are left so neutered by the software provided by xfinity.
My understanding is the SuperPods are the same hardware wise as xfi Gen2 pods.  Comparing tech specs from fccids is where I am getting this information, so please correct me if I am wrong.  The difference is the software utilized both inside the pods as “firmware” and the lack of any type of app such as HomePass or WorkPass…the xFi app provides only the screenshot attached as details and customizations and information regarding the pods.

A BIG BIG issue is the lack of Ethernet backhaul with these xfi pods, as limited or stomped from access to xfinity customers (I paid over 200 dollars for 2 xfi pods) by the ‘firmware’.  Your SuperPods generously support Ethernet backhaul as most ‘mesh’ nodes with Ethernet (2 ports) do.  Why would they cut the performance ON PURPOSE from purchased pods?

My other question is:  is it a possibility that I ‘purchase’ access to your HomePass or WorkPass app so that I might enjoy the full function of its features ( mostly network mesh mapping / topology mapping) as well as some details of their functionality.  Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns, and I hope to hear from you soon…even if it is to offer condolences and steerage to REAL plume SuperPods, as opposed to Comcast’s half hearted effort at customer care.
Your Plume pods using all they have to offer must be wonderful.  Comcast’s Gen2 pods are basically a power pod v0.25.  I assume the first gen power pods are not 200 for a set.  Thank you.  I look forward to a discussion.

A home network user in need of a true mesh type system that could enable use of my full 1200 Mbps internet plan.

are we going to get unlocked pods that we purchased?  Any real app to get the most out of them???

Hey! Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We greatly appreciate it and certainly pass along your interest in possibly getting Ethernet Backhaul added as a feature. We previously provided our first generation xFi Pods, but now only offer our second generation xFi Pods (B1A). These can be purchased for $119.00 (Single) or $199.00 (Two). You would be able to locate the technical specifications by visiting https://comca.st/3DFuspS.

With the xFi Pods, they would be limited to the xFi ecosystem and unable to be converted. If you no longer wish to use the xFi Pods, they can be gifted to another Xfinity subscriber for use. There are other alternative third-party wireless options that are available that you can purchase, but we would be unable to provide support or assist in set up or troubleshooting. You would need to reach out to the OEM for any assistance with the devices. Our xFi cable modems can be turned into 'Bridge Mode' for use with third-party networking equipment which can be found by visiting https://comca.st/31PNfBy;

Our Pods help eliminate 'dead spots' where WiFi converage may be weak or drop altogether, providing extended, more consistent WiFi coverage throughout your entire home. Pods will not exceed the maximum provisioned speed of your Xfinity Internet tier of service. The maximum throughput of xFi Pods (2nd Generation) is 500 Mbps over a WiFi connection in laboratory settings. Older Pods have a lower maximum throughput. Other factors can affect speeds.
