Xfi pods - used units

I first on this community and didn't find anything specific to my question.  I just recently switch over from AT&T for internet and TV, so much familiar with Xfinity devices.  Will buy a used Xfi pod still work?  Or are these devices registered with the original purchaser?  I don't want to pay the full price of a new unit when I can get a known good used unit, like from eBay for an example.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey there, user_bk6t75, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding our Wi-Fi Boost Pods. You are able to use used Pods with your services as long as you have an Xfinity modem. I would recommend purchasing 2nd Generation Pods as they are faster. Here is a link with more information regarding the pods: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfi-pods-faqs. You can also purchase the pods directly from our website at https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/wifi/xfi-pod. Let us know what questions you have.

You are very welcome! That modem would work with our Wi-Fi Boost Pods. Let us know if you do have any other questions regarding your connection or equipment. We are always happy to help!
