xbox 360 will not connect network

I moved into a new house and got a new router/modem. Now my xbox 360 will not connect to the wireless. I have done every troubleshooting thing that has been offered. Yes I have done https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/connecting-your-smartphone-or-tablet-to-your-home-network?linkId=129825532. I have turned off the WPA. I have tried to port forward but it doesn't connect so I can't with the UI that is available. I have gave it a static IP. I have added the IP and DNS to the xbox in manual mode.

It connects just fine using Ethernet and with a hotspot on my phone. I have 3 xbox 360 and none of them will connect using the xfinity router/modem Everything else in the house connects just fine. I have changed the password, I have turned off the 5GHz.

I went through support but they just had me reset the modem and then unplug it and plug it back in.

Hello @Xbox360wontconnect and thank you for posting to the Xfinity Forum to get help with connecting your Wi-Fi network connection on your XBox 360. I can understand how frustrating this may be and will do all I can to help you get reconnected.

I also wan to thank you for telling me what troubleshooting steps you have already completed. Can you please check the Xfinity App to see if this device is paused and if that's what is blocking you from connecting to your home network.

Thank you for checking, do you see your network name as an option when you try to connect your Xbox via the Wi-Fi?

Yes. It shows up on the list. Along with other ones in the area.

Thank you so much for that additional information! Are you seeing any error messages when you are trying to connect to your network?

Yes. The first one IP Address Error “Unplug the router or modem for 5 minutes. Reconnect the power, and wait another 60 seconds.” Did that many of times.

Second one.  “The router or modem may not be automatically assigning an IP address. Try static IP address instead.” Set that up. IP address automatically is set at 169.254.122.159. Which is not what it is supposed to be. Everything else connected has been assigned an IP starting at 10.0.***.***. So I change that to 10.0.174.41 and change the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 and the gate way address to 10.0.0.1 on the Xbox. I set the reserved IP to 10.0.174.41 under the MAC address for the Xbox on the router.

the third one tells me to use a wired connection. Which of course works.
it also connects wirelessly with a hotspot on my phone.

the 4th one says that router may be set up to keep certain devices from connecting. Check MAC filtering. I checked and MAC filter is set to Allow-all. I put the MAC address to be allowed just to make sure.

This is after a week of troubleshooting and 4 days of Direct Messages with Xfinity.

Using Part Number CGM4331COM modem. There is nothing they can do if your Xbox 360 will not connect. It would be in your best interests to just buy a cheap wireless router and piggy back off the Xfinity modem.

So all and all if you are reading this because your Xbox 360 will not connect using Part Number CGM4331COM there is nothing that Xifnify can do about it.

@Xbox360wontconnect Did you buy a wireless router? Did it work? Which one did you buy? Having the same problem. Thanks so much.
