XB8 Wi-Fi 6 doesn't show in Network list
I swapped the XB7T for the new XB8 for the Wi-Fi 6. I purchased a new Dell XPS 8950 with Killer E3100G 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Controller and Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX 1675x 160 MHZ Wireless Network Adapter. I do have all 3 bands activated, 2.4, 5, and 6, in the XB8 router. I do have all 3 with different SSID's and all 3 with different passwords. Wi-Fi 6 will not show in my available network list. Wi-Fi 6 seems to be showing everywhere except in my Available Network list. Someone out there has the answer. Yes, all drivers in my new XPS Desktop are all updated! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

If your devices are not specifically wifi6e, they will not show up in the list, just wifi6 will show up in 5g ax which is wifi6 but not wifi6e… also they have to be tri band…

At a quick glance, the s22 ultra is wifi6e but only dual band, so no go, I put a wifi6e network card in a 10 year old computer, not only sees it but connects perfectly, in all reality the speed is pretty much the same, I have done tests, since Comcast top speed tier is 1200Mbps is within range of the 5g ax wifi6, in the future when the speeds increase the 6.0 band will definitely come into play more…

@Keystone1972 But they have to be ‘tri band’ I didn’t research them completely, but I think the s22ultra is only dual band… sometimes I have seen specs say, wifi6e, sub 6…

I stand corrected, but the specs I briefly looked said it didn’t, since it don’t I don’t really know.. look on the Samsung forums, folks are having this same problem, sometimes intermittent…

@Keystone1972 you might want to look in the device manager on your desktop to see if your network card actually supports the 6.0 wifi band, or maybe a setting has to be tweaked,

@Keystone1972 This is interesting, only win 11 see the 6.0 band, I stand corrected once again, oddly enough I upgraded my 10 year old computer to win 11 just before I installed my wifi6e network card… of course I got the capability errors, ironically Microsoft tells you how to by pass them and install it anyway, which I did successfully…

@Keystone1972 Interesting, all I can think of, do you have official drivers from the Intel website? Not Microsoft plug and play drivers, that’s all I got..

@Keystone1972 Only possible other thing I can remotely think of, the default encryption method of the Xb8 is wpa3, did you change that by any chance? I know I changed that on my 2.4 g SSID and my Firestick no longer would connect…

@Keystone1972 From that screenshot it looks like you have Wi-Fi 6 band disabled, try hitting the enable button

I have an Xfinity XB8-t. It is not showing up i the list of available networks. Ethernet is ok. I'm able to get online by using a secondary router bridged to XB8 via Ethernet. I think these buggy device's WiFi is kaput. Nothing but trouble (ore on tht list later) since I got it a few months ago.
Can someone help, please? Is a Comcast employee here in this forum? I have everythiing I could except go into the modem - Comcast doesn't allow me to manage this rented brick :-(
I have reset the wifi and also the router. I have reset the gateway. I have booted all devices. Nothing works, the WiFi does not appear in list of Available networks and no device is connected to it. Thank you.
