XB8 Keeps Randomly Rebooting – Same Issue Even After Replacing XB7

I was having issues with the internet randomly disconnecting, so I upgraded to an XB8.

After switching to the XB8, everything worked perfectly for about two weeks with no disconnections at all. However, the same problem started happening again yesterday.

The disconnections seem mostly random, but I’ve noticed that they tend to happen within about two hours before or after midnight. Some days it doesn’t disconnect at all, but on bad days, it can happen more than five times in a single day.

When it happens, the system uptime resets, the gateway light changes from yellow to blinking green, and all of my eero devices go offline. After about five minutes, the gateway comes back online. My downstream and upstream signal levels look normal after it reconnects.

I also found two people on the Xfinity forum who were experiencing the exact same issue as me.

Their symptoms are almost identical to mine, and even the logs on their gateways show the same messages as mine.

i get the  Wifi VAP is set to down log thing, too.

It seems like even after having Xfinity technicians come out, they still haven’t been able to fix the issue. Has anyone with this same problem actually found a solution?
