XB8 dropping iPhone 16 Pro WiFi Connection

I swapped my XB7 for the new XB8 modem a few months ago. The XB8 drops the internet connection to my phone frequently.  Restarting the gateway temporarily resolves the issue. However, my iPhone 16 Pro keeps getting disconnected.

When I try to reconnect I get one of these two errors:

1) Unable to join the network

or

2) Unable to join the network

This network is operating on Wi-Fi channels in use by several other nearby networks.
Restarting your wireless router may allow it to automatically choose the best channel to use, and may resolve this problem.

I have tried restarting the Gateway and iPhone, but there are still problems. I’m having to reboot our router more than once daily—this is not sustainable.

Please advise.

My wife and I are having the same problems.  We got a new iPhone 16 Pro's 3 days ago, and switched from Verizon to Xfinity Mobile.  In addition to the issues mentioned above, my wifi connection keeps switching to the Xfinity Mobile network (different from the "xfinitywifi" network) and messing up other settings, such as Airprint..  I've tried to "Forget" my home network, and reconnect, but have had same issues continue.

I resolved my connection issues with out 2 new iPhone 16 Pro.  I went to the Apple Store tech support the guy initially had no idea, except that it was not the device.  He then went and talked to some other techs.  The recommendation was to check the WPA settings on the router, and change it from WPA2 to WPA3.  I was able to make the change through the Xfinity app in about 30 seconds.  My connection to my home network has been solid now for over 24 hours.  Fingers crossed, I think that fix worked.

user_cob115 Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us here on our Community Forum. Are you experiencing the issue on any other devices or only with your iPhone?

Only iPhone. Seems switching off Private WiFi address worked so but should not have to compromise security.

user_r6tszx Have you recently updates the OS of the iPhone to see if that correct the issue with the connection while having the security active on the phone?

Same issue with new iPhone 16 pro max and all updates. Nothing else on my network has this issue. Continual resets or restarts or forgetting the WiFi’s connection and re-selecting.

I have no issues with any other devices.  My wife and I are having the same issue of going from near gig speeds to no connection while still connected to the wifi.  We have Iphone 16 pro and just got a new XB8 because the last one was dropping multiple devices which would need to cycle the wifi to work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to here, @user_1nt6vh! I am sorry to hear about the troubles with your iPhone 16 Pro's and the connection. I do see there was a resolution to switch the WPA2 to WPA3 via the Xfinity App, have you attempted those steps to see if that resolves the connection?
