Xb7 vs Xb8

I ordered the newest router. I had trouble and the tech replaced my 8 with a 7. What will be different? Speeds? Range?

Hey @user_86ecc4! That's a great question. In short, it's the speed. Sometimes the higher tiered modem's have trouble with slower speeds. Not supposed to happen, doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

@XfinityAntoine​ Absolutely horrible response for a product Xfinity expects its customers to pay for...

Basically saying "its supposed to be better, but dont be surprised if its not"

@LesStressT​  They could publish a manual for their outsourced gear, with the specifications.  You'd think product management would require one for the contract. 

Important things, like the 802.11 WiFi specifications and supported standards so people could see if their WiFi devices will work with their rental gear.  Hardware descriptions.  LED light blink patterns.  How MoCA works, and it's lack of security.  A software spec for their phone app would help people too, as well as a list of the few functions that remain in the firmware you can control.

But they don't.
