@Anuciforo, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. I know it can be frustrating dealing with internet issues. Can you tell me what program you are using when you get the notification? Also, does it kick you offline?

@XfinityAngie hi, it’s Zoom. It doesn’t kick me off, but pauses my video or audio. I have updated the platform and restarted my modem but the internet speed tests still say “ver fast” with these issues.

@Anuciforo, thank you for clarifying what you're experiencing and posting those extra details. Are you only having issues with Zoom? Also, are you connected to a VPN when you're kicked off? I want to make sure we're on the same page and understand the full scope of the issue, that way we troubleshoot and go down the best path for a resolution.

yes, zoom. It happens when I’m on and off a VPN.

@Anuciforo Thank you so much for your response and time on this. Can you please try forgetting the Wi-Fi network on the device you are using Zoom on and then try connecting again? Let us know if you continue to have issues after trying this.

Have you tried testing with a wired connection to the router/gateway?  That's a good first step in debugging problems when WiFi is involved.  WiFi is notorious for performance issues and can be heavily affected by interference from neighbors' WiFi and other environmental factors.  The absolute worst is someone else's malfunctioning equipment.  So it's very helpful to plug the computer into the router or gateway with an ethernet cable and see if you still have a problem.  That way you know if it's a WiFi problem or an issue with your Comcast connection or perhaps the router/gateway.  If everything is fine with a wired connection you know it's a problem with WiFi.  If you still have the problem using an ethernet cable you know there's an issue with your line or modem/router/gateway.

If you're using a laptop that doesn't have an ethernet port (many don't these days) you can get a USB ethernet adapter for not much $.  $10-15 for a 1Gb, $20-30 for 2.5Gb online.  Probably a little more if you have a Mac and need USB-C, and definitely more if you buy one from Apple.
