Wi-Fi not showing up on some devices

I've had my Xfinity internet for 2 years with the same devices connected. A couple of days ago the Wi-Fi glitched out and reset and almost everything automatically reconnected (phones, Amazon Fire Tablet, Amazon Alexa, Laptop, iPad) but 3 not only won't reconnect but also don't even show my Wi-Fi as an option. So I know it works and is working and showing up on other devices, but not on 3 devices - those 3 where it's not recognizing internet is: Amazon Kindle, Roku, DVD player.

Here's what I've tried, I:

- unplugged and reset and restarted all the things (a few times)

- pressed the WPS button on my internet box

- checked in my Xfinity account to ensure that my devices were recognized on the list of previously connected devices but not currently connected

I've had problems with this before where the Roku will randomly stop being able to 'see' my internet but it usually resolves itself.

FWIW.

The two WiFi bands have recently been combined into one with the Comcast gateway devices. Some devices get confused and don't know how to see / talk to combined bands.

If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

Associate the devices with the 2.4 or the 5.0 (whichever one works) band's SSID (broadcast name) and password. Good luck !

@EG Hi! That makes sense and it looks like the 5.0 one is the one that's working (checked from my laptop). I followed the link's advice - I have an XB3 so I separated the bands using Xfinity xFI. I put the 2.4 on channel 1 and left the 5.0 as Auto connect.

Then I went into my Xfinity account and clicked "forget devices" for the ones that aren't working. My laptop cut out of Wi-Fi for a second then reconnected to the 5.0.

Then I went to my devices that weren't working to check and it looks like they're STILL not recognizing my Wi-Fi as an option to connect to. I'm getting my neighbor's Wi-Fis as options but not my own.

What should I do next? Should I connect my 5.0 to a different channel?

You can try using a different channel in the 5 GHz band but that really shouldn't matter. Try taking the 5.0 band off of auto-connect in the XB3 and then manually input the SSID and the WiFi password of it into the devices that won't connect,
