A few things you can try are checking that the coax cable is securely connected to both the wall outlet and the modem, confirming the power cord is firmly connected, and restarting the modem by unplugging it for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in.
Can you tell us a little more about what you're seeing on the modem? For example, what lights are illuminated, what color they are, and whether any of them are blinking. Also, are you unable to see your Wi-Fi network at all, or can you connect to Wi-Fi but cannot access the internet?
Those details will help narrow down whether the issue is related to activation, signal connectivity, or something else.
