Wi-Fi and cable

Every time xfinity does any work in my area I lose service. For some reason it does something to the splitter. I install a new splitter and it’s fine until next time they work on something. Two weeks ago, they notified us they’ll be doing an upgrade in our area. Sure enough, when they were done I had no service, cable or Wi-Fi. I changed the splitter and started working. But this time my wifi is not working properly, it may work then stops. My security door bell cameras aren’t working. If I try to watch a video on my phone or computer it stops. I’ve done all the modem resets, I’ve done the app check,  one time it said a tech needed to come out, but the time for them to come out was a week later and unacceptable. It’s a joke to try to call and be put on hold forever. I’m just pretty much fed up with xfinity and thinking about switching back to something else. Prices have gotten out of hand as well.
