Why is my internet down each morning?

My internet connection typically works throughout the day, but is out every morning. There is a solid red light on the modem. I have to unplug the modem and plug it back in to re-establish internet connection. The connection is reliable for the rest of the day, but the problem reoccurs the next morning.
