Updating Wireless Gateway Quetion

I have XFI gateway model TG4482A. Does it update Automatically on its own or is there anything I have to do manually to make sure the equipment is up to date.  For example do I ever need to unplug it from the wall? My internet works fine I just want to know if there is anything I need to do when it comes to updates

Thanks

Yes. It's good practice to power-cycle / reboot the device periodically to ensure that it pulls the latest firmware update that may be queued on their server.

@EG

By power cycling and rebooting you mean unplugging it from the wall for few seconds and plug back in right?

Yes. And wait for 25-30 seconds.

There is a button on the back of my wireless gateway, is that a WPS button or is it off button to turn the gateway off?

I need to ask you another question, sorry its a bit unrelated to the topic of this thread. I connect my PC to my wireless gateway with ethernet cable and the network gives it the name network 3, my WIFI name is entirely something else, so why do you think with ethernet it says network 3?

@EG  Sorry but this link is a little too technical for me. I just wanted to know if its normal to see this network 3 or not.

Thanks

Hey there, @Tatyana1! I see that you've been getting help from one of our amazing Experts, which is great! Just thought I'd pop in and see if I could help in some way. That link states, "This indicates that you are connected to Internet using Network 3. However, if you are using another network you may delete this network icon." Where exactly are you seeing "Network 3" listed on your PC? And have you tried manually selecting your in-home network?
