Unstable internet connection while on Zoom

I consistently have a problem while on Zoom.  Every time I'm on camera I get latency issues and a message that my internet connection is unstable.  Please advise.

Hello @voxnoir, and thank you for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forums!

It can be frustrating when you're experiencing connection issues during your Zoom meetings, especially when it impacts video calls and communication.

To help us better understand what's happening, can you let us know if you're experiencing these issues while connected via Wi-Fi or through a direct Ethernet connection to your modem or gateway? This information will help determine whether the issue may be related to your wireless network, device, or the internet connection itself.

We look forward to your reply and are happy to help troubleshoot further.

I've done a good bit of testing and found that there's a significant WiFi degradation between my router and my office (only 25 feet away, with one wall in between).  Ethernet is not a viable option for me.  The gateway is not near anything that should be causing interference.  I've tested speeds in my office and directly next to the router (distinct differences).  As a result, I'm considering getting an additional router, but I don't seen an option within the app to switch the gateway to bridge mode.

I understand, before I can further assist, would you mind sending me your name and the address to your account in a Direct message?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
