temporary access to internet

Hi-

Looking for a way to provide temporary and limited access to our internet for some visitors, pet sitters, tradesmen, etc. Same thing that can be done with keypad doorlocks. How can I do this?

Also, I've seen the canned response that if they too are an X customer then they can access the wifi - not helpful.

Hello, @user_d1245a thank you for taking time to create a post. You've contacted the right place for assistance, and I want to help answer any questions you have in regard to temporary access.

If each user is going to have their own profile, here is a great article that goes over managing their info: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-xfi-manage-profiles

This article is great with helping guests connect, and they can utilize the xfinitywifi network your modem sends out if that is active without needing a network password: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/help-guests-get-online

If you're leasing a Xfinity gateway, since there isn't the option of setting up a guest network. If you have a router, I found this great forums article that has some information of setting up other networks when the gateway is in bridgemode: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/guest-network/65a098d28f01ac51ddb91ac5

Please let me know if those articles are helpful.
