Static PublicIP

Hello - how do I acquire a static public IP address? I work from home and need to provide a static IP address to be whitelisted for access on external servers. I would prefer not to switch to a business line, and I need the same IP 100% of the time for access and can't rely on the IP changing every 6 months or per modem restart.

Thanks -

The only way is to subscribe to their Business Class Service.

Hello @user_8kdp6i, thanks for reaching out to us on the Xfinity Forums, and thank you @EG for providing the correct answer to the question. For residential accounts we don't offer a static IP address, and like @EG mentioned, the only way to get a static IP address is to have a Xfinity Business account. If you would like to discuss switching from residential service to business, we are more than happy to discuss that with you. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?
