Sneaky move by Xfinity Tech Support, changed my plan to lower Upload speeds, then tried to cancel tech visit because now I'm in plan spec.
Hello Xfinity Team,
For several days my upload speeds have been lower than my plan speeds of 1200/200Mbps, they had previously tested about 238Mbps, and last week after Xfinity was working in my area they dropped to 70ish. Once I contacted tech support, it was escalated to a dedicated tech team and the next day my plan speeds were changed to 1200/35. I cannot get an answer as to why my plan provisions changed overnight without notifying or asking me. Once someone changed those plan speeds I am now only receiving 40Mbps upload. I do have Xfi complete. I am just looking for someone to put the plan speeds back to where they were 24 hours ago, while I wait for the technician to come to my home on Saturday (3 days from now).
I was hoping that someone from Xfinity team here could connect with me to help solve this. I can provide a full detailed breakdown of the timeline, ticket number and more info once we connect. Thanks in advance.
Here are the screenshots showing the test at 11:46PM on Dec 19, 2023 showing the 200 upload speed.
And here is the screenshot at 3:07PM on Dec 20, 2023 after someone changed my plan to 35 upload.
