Slow Internet Speeds when connecting to servers further away from my location
Hello,
I have been dealing with horribly slow internet intermittently for months now. Many times I cannot do anything on the internet as it is just too slow to even load a page or send an email. I have noticed when I do a speed check that when it is really slow, it is associated with a server being further away from where I am located. I have contacted Xfinity support and have had 2 tech visits without accomplishing anything. The only advice I get from Xfinity is to change my modem, which is relatively new but now no longer on the list of preferred modems. I would buy a new modem if that would resolve the issues I am having, but I do not think that it will solve the problem. Does anyone have any advice other than change to another service carrier? Thanks so much for your help.
