Several outages at our apartment complex in the last month

We have had weekly outages at our apartment complex over the last month. Some lasted for half an hour, some for over three hours.  And for two weeks straight, there have been multiple days.  Last week there were three days with outages.

The explanation is unknown issue.

Prior to this, we were having issues with out download speeds tanking when we tried to download a video game on our PlayStations.  That issue is still ongoing even though we have been told it was fixed.

We have 1G internet, but download speeds fall to anywhere from single digit KBs to 200MB.  Hardwired is not much better.

As Xfinity is the only internet provider we are allowed to us at our complex, we are stuck.

Can someone please explain the reason behind the multiple outages?  Is there an integrity issue with the lines?  My roommate cannot work and is home during the day.  We use streaming services so it's a pain in the rear when the internet continues to go out weekly with no explanation.

McCray73 Hi there! Thank you for using our Forums to contact us about the service interruptions in your area. Our team is here happy to look into what is going on, so we can help to make this right. In order to get started can you send us a DM with your name and address, so we can dig deeper into this.
To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Direct Message" icon
 • Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
 • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 • As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 • An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send it
