Reset Moderm password

Goodevening, please I am finding it difficult to reset my password on my moderm.

Thank you for contacting customer support through Xfinity Community Support page. I hope you are doing well, and we will be more than happy to assist with any concerns you need addressed. 

 

If you are using your own personal third-party cable modem and/or networking device, you would need to reach out to the Original Equipment Manufacturer for support on their product. 

 

If you are using a rental device, are you attempting to reset the "Admin GUI" password? If so, you would need to factory reset the modem by holding down the available 'Reset Pin" hole with a paperclip for 20-30 seconds or on the new model modems, hold the WPS Button for 20 seconds. 

 

If you are needing assistance resetting the wireless network name and/or password, you would need to use the Xfinity App in order to rename or reset the wireless password. Steps can be found by visiting our "How To View and Change Your WiFi Network Name and Password on an Xfinity xFi Gateway".
