Request for Static IP Address

Dear Xfinity Support,

I am experiencing ongoing issues with my home internet connection because the external IP address keeps changing frequently. This causes my VPN connection to disconnect every time the IP changes, making it impossible for me to work remotely in a stable manner.

Up until about two months ago, my VPN was working normally without interruptions. However, since then, I noticed that the outbound IP has been switching back and forth between different addresses, and each time this happens, my VPN disconnects.

Could you please help me resolve this issue by assigning a static IP address to my home internet service? I am willing to subscribe to any additional plan or pay the necessary fee for a static IP.

xfinity changed it's policy; residential customers are generally not allowed to have a static IP.  They do offer it for business accounts. I have read that in very rare cases they do make exceptions to the policy.

@NoNoBadPuppy​ You are correct. The only way to get a Static IP is to have a business account.
