Recent ping increase and packetloss over the past month

Hey I've been using Xfinity for a long time and used to get 20 ping on most games and servers now it jumped up to around 40-50 with 1-5% constant packet loss making it unplayable this has been happening from the past month or few. This happens on all devices including my pc which has ethernet my phone and my tv. Please check on my account to see if there is a problem in my location thanks.

Hey there u42 👋 Right away I want you to know that we infinitely appreciate any amount of time that you've been with us, and I'm glad you took the time to be part of our community! I know exactly how much of a hindrance packet loss can be, especially when I'm on my own PC trying to game, so I want to help make sure you're running at full strength any way I can 👍

If the packet loss has continued for you since creating your post, have you noticed it occurring consistently at any specific times of the day?

@XfinitySeth The high ping and packet loss have been pretty consistent do you think this could be the effect of snow/ climate?

If you're in an area that's getting hit with snow or heavy weather that can have an impact for sure. Do you feel like that behavior only picked up once the weather in your area started to kick in?

It's been happening for the last month and we only got snow last week so I don't think it should be it but I think it's more consistently bad now.

Okay that definitely makes sense in that context. Up to this point have you tried any troubleshooting through the Xfinity app? If you're using one of our modems, the app can actually diagnose quite a bit and even resolve a lot of common connection issues that cause drops like you're experiencing.

More info can be found at xfinity.com/support/articles/internet-connectivity-troubleshooting if you're able to check it out right now 👍
