Hello, @user_xykny7. Thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums, you have contacted the right place in regard to service interruption notifications. We’ve worked hard to improve this experience, you can now receive proactive interruption notifications during certain types of events, if you have your mobile number registered by texting START to 266278: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/proactive-outage-notifications. 

 

To register your mobile number to receive text alerts if needed, here is a great walkthrough article to get that set up: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/comcast-text-alerts. 

 

When service is interrupted we do try to provide the most up-to-date ETA for service restoration on the award-winning Xfinity App, you can also request to receive a text notification once work has been completed. On a mobile device you can also log in to the Xfinity Status Center to follow along with service restoration as well: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/check-service-outage.
