PS5 and PS4 suddenly not connecting

Hello Xfinity,

There was a service interruption in our area for roughly 30 minutes or so. When the servuce came back on my PS5 and PS4 are not connecting to the internet. I have assigned it a static IP, Enabled Port Forwarding, rebooted my router and PS5 multiple times. I even tried a wired LAN cable to no avail.

HELP!!! Please can you fix this without multiple useless tech visits and router swap outs?!?!? This has clearly been proven to be a backend or software issue. Thank you in advance.

Did your Xfinity gateway by any chance revert to WPA3? If so you will need to set it back to WPA2.

How do I check? I am in the Xfinity app and in the router.l now but do not see that setting.

@AntMaxAmill You can manage the security mode through the app or the admin tool for the gateway. I found the steps here. In the app it shows to select connect, you network, edit Wi-Fi setting and use the drop-down to change the security mode. Save when completed and that should update as selected. Please let us know if this helps out.
