Problems with connectivity even using ethernet cables

Our iOS phones have been having trouble staying connected or even connecting to the home Wifi.  We  are constantly having connection problems when we either come back home or have not used the phones for several hours like overnight or even sometimes if we get in the same room as the WiFi modem, it will disconnect. We have to forget the network and then sign in again, repeating several times until it connects. My Vizio TV which was right next to the modem was having connectivity problems also, so I connected to modem via ethernet cable. When I turn the TV on it does not always connect which seems wrong. I have to turn on and off a few times to get it to connect. I have a Amazon firestick connected to a TV in the basement which doesn't seem to have an issue. But my iOS iMAC near it does. We work from home via a windows VPN and don't seem to have any major issues. We had zero issues until we had a technician come out and had to rewire some of our connections to the house after a storm. Since then it has not run smoothly.

I've unplugged and restarted the Gateway device that does not seem to fix the problem. I have found another TV in one of my kids rooms shows it connects to the wifi but then say it is not connected to the network and is unusable.

Also when we had a service tech out oto the house when he started up teh gateway it cinnected to his device, not mine. before I could see and troubleshoot from my phone but not sure how to get my phone connected.

Honestly I'm afraid to change anything on this gateway device because I just don't know if I will ever get it back up and running correctly
