Problem connecting to disney plus app and website
It seems like theres a ip block everytime I use home wifi connecting to disney app and disney website. Tried using laptop, and any other device still cant connect. Sometimes giving me error code 83, and sometimes it's just loading forever until it stops. But.... when I switch to my cellphone data, everything works fine, laptop cellphone, ipad. It works fine. What is the Xfinity doing about this?

I'm having the same problem. Of course it was crazy on the first day, but I was able to connect just fine on my wifi for several days. But now I haven't been able to connect on my wifi since last Thursday!

Same. I've been chatting with Disney+ about this since last week. I was told this is a "known issue" between them and Comcast but it doesn't seem to be affecting all customers. I've talked to Xfinity/Comcast, too, and the tech person I spoke with hadn't heard anything about it. Very frustrating.

From what i have found on Google, it seems to have to do with the Xfinity wireless gateway. You can't change the DNS setting on it like you can on an independent modem/router. I don't understand why it only effects a few of us. I contacted disneyplus support yesterdya, but have not heard back.
I am ordering a modem/router from Amazon to see if chnging the DNS works.

@Jerry53 , any better with the new modem?
I'm having the similar problem, and was about to purchase new modem.
In my case DisneyPlus works on PC / Laptop connected to Xfinity,
but not on my Android TV or Android Phone connected to Xfinity.
I wanted to add that www front page works just fine. Problems start with logging in through the app.
It works flawlessly on Android phone when using mobile LTE
Funny is that once I'm about to start streaming I can switch back to my wifi and streaming is not interrupted.
Not funny is that I cannot do the same trick with my TV.
Although I can do casting from my phone as a workaround.
Very confusing.
I had similar problem with my outlook email app on my phone in the past (not syncing on my home wifi). Router tweaking fixed the issue.

I too could stream on my phone when not on WIFI. That’s when I knew it was a router issue.
Good luck!

Never had any issues with Disney+, with any device on my network, and I'm using a leased Comcast XB6 (TG3482G).

Thanks,
For the record I'm going to replace 8yrs old ARRIS SB6121, which is no longer recommended/supported by Xfinity. So I think it is time for upgrade anyway. I'll try Arris SB8200.
