Pods are worthless?

Was downloading at 500-1000 kbps while connected to pod in my room. Once I removed that pod and connected to main the speed immediately jumped to 70-100 mbps. What is the point of pods if they make it worse?

I had a similar situation when I got my pod.

I was about to return it when I tried moving the pod to a different outlet and suddenly my speed was much higher than without the pod.

Bottom line I think is to EXPERIMENT.  See if that helps as it did me.

Also, Comcast stated and I think it's true that a pod should not be installed on an outside wall in your home.   When I did that, it made the speed much worse.
