Pixelation issues and intermittent internet outages

For the past 18 months or so, I've been dealing with horrible pixelation issues as well as random intermittent internet outages. That last 1 to 3 minutes at a time.

The concern is not "Community Center / Guidelines" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section for assistance.

Hello @user_yk1ube. Thank you for reaching out on our community forum. I would love to take a look at the account and run through some troubleshooting.

Please send us a direct message with your full name and address so that we can assist you further.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

Hi EG,

Thank you for the reposnse and sorry about my delayed response.

Unfortunately I hit an impasse at the first step :( tried to restart the receiver as suggested- and the receiver got stuck in an endless reboot loop.... never powered back on. I'm planning a visit to the local Xfinity location on Sunday to get the receiver replaced.

I can  update you once that's completed.  Crossing my fingers

Thanks EG!

Uodate: happy  to report thag the replacement receiver corrected all the crazy pixelation issues. Turns out the receiver was the culprit.... after a gradual failure, it took the complete failure of it to prompt the need to get it replaced - and to prove that it was the culprit.

That also proves that the mini internet outages (1 - 3 minutes at a time - at random times) was a separate issue.

Those mini outages seem to happen more often when the weather is bad ( heavy snow or heavy rain) which might suggest an issue with the outside of the building
