First. Check their site for official info on any possible local outages here;

https://www.xfinity.com/support/status

Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, or a neighbor's internet if you need to in order to check it.

Or you can use their Xfinity App: https://www.xfinity.com/apps

I understand how frustrating it can be to not have services or have an ETA on when they will be restored. The Xfinity app does provide the most updated information on when services can be expected to be restored. Depending on if there was extensive storm damage, it can take time for our technicians to get services up and running. If there were any power lines brought down, they have to wait for the local power company to give the all clear to begin our work. If there are multiple lines down, or damage at a node it can take longer. Once they have an ETA the Xfinity app will be updated to reflect that, you can also sign up for text alerts for any updates via the app.

We have an outage in our area and it’s been 3 days. There’s no explanation of how long it will be and it will not allow me to ask on the app. This is ridiculous and I don’t understand why Xfinity isn’t more open to their customers about what’s actually going on and how long it will take. And the WiFi hotspots are pointless when there isn’t any around people’s homes.
