Outage others have service in neighborhood

Good morning.  We are still experiencing and outage here, but others around me have service from xfinity.  How could I still be down when others around me have the service up and running?

I have reset my network and I'm tying to get an update on the issue

First. Check their site for official info on any possible local outages here;

Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, or a neighbor's internet if you need to in order to check it.


Or you can use their Xfinity App: https://www.xfinity.com/apps

To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Direct Message" icon
 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
 • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 • As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 • An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send it
