OpenVPN server behind Xfinity Xfi router stopped working - Anybody else have a problem?

I set up an OpenVPN server months ago on a small server on the LAN side of my XFi gateway. The OpenVPN server is part of a multi-function package that also provides NAT and various configurable traffic filtering capabilities. In short, the XFi gateway was configured with NAT and filtering. I forwarded port 1194 (the OpenVPN port) to my own server, which also had a NAT gateway.  It worked fine until about 8/24/24 when it stopped working. I don't believe I made any changes to the XFi config.  The only way i could get OpenVPN on my server to work was to switch the XFi gateway to bridge mode.

I am curious if anybody else has had a similar problem recently.

@XfinityJorge I appreciated your offering to help, but I believe I sent a direct message as you directed, but never got a response, so it isn't a solution to my problem. I worked around the issue, which still appears to have been the result of a config change or software update to the Xfinity router not made by me. My work-around was to convert the xFI to bridge mode.
