No Wifi

Gateway stopped transmitting a wifi signal.  I can still connect via ethernet/cable, but the antenna just won't transmit.  I have reset the gateway via the app multiple times, unplugged the gateway for 1, 5, and 10 minutes and then plugged back in, and still nothing.  It will initially start transmitting (SSID shows up on my phone), but quickly stops (cannot connect and then SSID disappears).  I have logged into the gateway admin and attempted to restore connection via that way, but the status remains as "disabled"

Have them swap it out for another.

Hi @user_4b3e3a,

We can certainly help assist with the wireless network connectivity issues you may be experiencing. Have you also attempted to check and ensure the modem is not in "Bridge Mode" so that the device can properly broadcast the wireless SSID? Please let us know so we can look into next steps to get you back online and surfing the web.

FWIW. They wrote: "It will initially start transmitting (SSID shows up on my phone), but quickly stops (cannot connect and then SSID disappears)."............

Update - all fixed.  It was not in bridge mode, so that wasn’t the problem.  It ended up being an internal fault.

I took the faulty gateway to an xfinity store and swapped it out.  30 minutes later (which included the drive home) I was back in business.
