no advanced settings on my APP

I’m having an issue managing my Wi-Fi through the Xfinity app. The app doesn’t show Advanced Settings or the option to manage my Wi-Fi equipment, even though my internet is active and working.

When I try accessing my gateway directly through 10.0.0.1, I’m redirected to a message telling me to download the Xfinity app. The problem is that the settings I need aren’t available in the app either, leaving me stuck in a frustrating loop with no way to manage my own network.

I’ve contacted Xfinity support multiple times, but nobody has been able to provide a clear answer or a working solution. I even asked whether they could enable access to the Admin Tool through the web interface, and they told me they couldn’t.

What makes this so frustrating is that support seems unable to explain why these settings are missing or offer any meaningful way to resolve the issue. I’m being redirected between the app and the web interface, neither of which gives me access to the settings I need.

Why am I paying for an internet service where I can’t properly manage my own network, and why can’t support provide a straightforward answer? I just want access to my gateway settings without being sent in circles. Xfinity seriously needs to improve both its app and its technical support.

user_r1nccy Being redirected to the Xfinity app when you're trying to access gateway settings through 10.0.0.1, only to find the settings you need aren't available in the app, would leave anyone feeling stuck. After multiple contacts with support and no clear explanation for why the options are missing, it's easy to see why you're looking for answers.

Before we dig deeper, there are a few things worth checking:

  • Confirm you're connected directly to your home Xfinity WiFi network and not using a VPN or cellular connection.
  • Try accessing http://10.0.0.1 from a different browser or device connected to the gateway.
  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try again.
  • If you're using your own router behind an Xfinity Gateway, let us know, as certain gateway management options can behave differently depending on the setup.
  • Let us know which specific advanced settings you're trying to access, as some options have been moved, changed, or removed depending on the equipment model and account configuration.

With that information, we can take a closer look and determine whether this is an issue with the gateway interface, the Xfinity app, or a limitation related to the equipment currently on the account.
