New WiFi Internet Home Connection
09/02/2026 @ 5:07pm (CST)
I received a text informing me that my WiFi was connected and to click on the link to check out the app, which I already had open and reading information from. When I clicked on the link I got a four page understanding of some basics. Page 3 stated: "Your WiFi is booming. 2 devices joined your network with a strong connection - you're off to a great start". Then I was to simply click on the Next button. The problem is that I literally only have 1 device, which is my mobile phone and it may or may not have been connected yet. So, how do I find out what are the two devices that are connected to my WiFi and if they are disconnected, will that deter me from appropriately using my WiFi just for me?
I have called the supervisor escalation technician who has been helping with the issues pertaining to getting my WiFi up and running since August 8, 2026. However, today he has not yet returned two of the voicemail messages that I left for him on his direct phone line, one was marked urgent. I need to know whether the maintenance or security staff at my building, who may be the only ones with access to the basement area of my building that has the cable and wiring connections to my unit, will also have the ability to get connected to my WiFi without my permission?
How do I further secure my WiFi with a name and password of my choosing that will allow the name that I want my WiFi Internet to be called among the current list of those in the nearby area that can be used, as well in order to lock it so others aren't able to pirate my WiFi Internet service?
